Frequently Asked Questions

Customers

Do you sell men's clothing?

Yes! Our men's section is located in our second room to the left. You'll find a variety of men's shirts, pants, ties, and shoes.

Do you sell plus-size clothing?

Absolutely! Plus-size is located in our second room to the right. We may carry 1X-4X sizes, depending on our inventory at the time of your visit.

Do you sell furniture and household items?

We do not. Although we did until about 2019, we have since downsized due to Hurricane Florence and closed our third room for consignment and intake purposes only.

Do you sell children's clothes?

We do not sell children's clothes.

Do you sell petites?

We do! Our petite section can be found in our front room, across from the checkout counter. We have a section for tops, and another for bottoms and dresses.

How can I become a consigner?

Information can be found on our consigning page. We take all consignment by appointment, and all appointments must be made on our appointments tab. If you cannot find an available appointment, give us a call and we'll see if we can get you in! For details on upcoming consignment, fill out the form on our keep in touch page.

How many items can I bring to my appointment?

Each appointment is limited to 15 items. This includes clothing and accessories. Consigners can have up to 6 appointments, depending on how long we are taking consignment. This means that you have the chance to bring in 90 items total. More information can be found on our consigning page.

I don't have hangers to spare. Can I just bring my clothes in a bag?

While we won't accept any clothes placed in bags, we have a bucket by our front door that contain free hangers for our consigners. Take as many as you'd like!

How can I see the money in my account?

When an account is created for you, each item of yours that we sell updates in our system. During each appointment, you will be given a slip of paper that tells you when your items expire. You can come by the store or give us a call any time before or after the expiration date, and we can tell you how much money is in your account. If you have less than $40 in your account, you can pick up cash, but anything over that amount will be written out in a check for you to come pick up. Checks are usually ready for pickup a week after they are requested.

Do you take bridesmaids/prom dresses?

Absolutely! We do not take wedding dresses, but we will absolutely take bridesmaids and prom dresses. We recommend bringing those in during our spring consigment, as they are more likely to sell during that time.

What if you don't want my items?

During your appointment, we will do our best to look through your items. If we notice any spots or blemishes on any particular item, we will give it back to you. If we notice anything after your appointment, it will be donated to Religious Community Services.

What happens when my items expire?

Once your items have expired, per the date on your consignment contract, your items will become property of Twice as Nice. From there, we will sell them at a discounted rate, and if they still have not sold, they will be donated to Religious Community Services. If your item can be sold for over $60, you may request to pick it up if it doesn't sell. Otherwise, you cannot pick your items up once expired.
